The manufacturer was notified of the failure where they informed him that they are still awaiting another software update to correct the matter. The check engine light initially went away after the sensor was replaced however, the issue reoccurred soon after the remedy was performed. The contact took the vehicle to healey Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, ram 557 NY-52, beacon, NY 12508 (845) 831-1148 where they replaced a sensor under warranty. When the check engine light illuminated, all internal electric units such as the vehicle phone charger, the 3g WI-fi, the voice control system unit, and other electrical units failed to operate as needed. After some time, the check engine warning light would illuminate as the jerking continued. Also, it was mentioned that the vehicle would jerk while driving at various speeds initially without warning. The contact also stated that the vehicle would stall at various speeds without warning. Upon the update being performed, the vehicle would not accelerate over 30 mph without warning. The vehicle was taken to dutchess Chrysler Jeep Dodge 2285 south rd, poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (845) 462-7700 where the update was performed.

The contact stated that there was a software patch update that was required for the vehicle. Tl- the contact's wife owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. It's worth noting, I just received the ecodeisel software updated (I think v7). When I restarted it, the check engine light was on, but went off after several hours. I immediately pulled off and shut the car off and let it sit for several minutes. The second power shutdown lasted about 5-7 seconds and turned back on. About 1-2 minutes after the first power failure, another power failure/complete shut down occurred. I continued to proceeded down long point road until I could pull off. Once the car restarted, acceleration was extremely limited. The car restarted after about 3 seconds and the check engine light came on. However, it was a rather tight round-about and was not able to make the turn and I went over the curb and drove straight through the middle of the round-about. Luckily there weren't any cars in the round-about when I entered. The loss of power resulted in not being able to slow down. 30mph heading towards a round-about when everything shutdown. On at 6:00am I was driving on long point road when the vehicle completely shutdown - all electrical, engine, lights, breaks, etc.
